About Us
Boxing Victoria is the recognised governing body for amateur boxing in Victoria, overseeing all aspects of the sport’s administration and development within the state. Our responsibilities include the accreditation and ongoing education of coaches, referees, and judges; the registration and regulation of athletes and officials; and the enforcement of rigorous safety and compliance standards to ensure the wellbeing of all participants.
We support a robust competition calendar, delivering regular local tournaments across the state and hosting the annual State Titles. These events serve as a key pathway for the selection of the Victorian team to compete at the Australian Championships.
Boxing Victoria operates in affiliation with Boxing Australia and gratefully acknowledges the continued support of our valued sponsors and partners.
Important Notice: Cross-Coding Prohibited
In accordance with the regulations set out by World Boxing and Boxing Australia Limited (BAL), cross-coding will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Participants registered with Boxing Victoria are not permitted to compete in, or affiliate with, any other boxing codes or organisations not recognised by World Boxing or BAL. Doing so may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal of membership.
These measures are in place to protect the integrity of the sport, ensure athlete safety, and uphold our commitment to international governance standards.
If you are unsure whether a competition or organisation is compliant, please contact Boxing Victoria for clarification prior to participation.
