The Boxing Victoria Underage Program is the pathway into the sport of boxing at the grass roots level. Boxing Victoria runs approximately 8 Development camps per year targeting athletes of adolescent age competition or close to competition ready.
A camp is typically consists of four sessions in one day based on boxing specific content as specified and guided by the national program with an emphasis on the fundamentals of the sport. Aspiring young athletes who attend the Underage Development Program can find their way into local competition and possibly state and national pathways.
Athletes must be registered with Boxing Victoria. Club coaches are strongly recommended to attend. The program also serves to develop new coaches and officials as it is often run parallel with the Bronze/Silver Level Coaching Courses and Referee and Judge Development.
