Important Information for Coaches Wishing to Apply for the Level Bronze Coaching Course

Coaching plays an important role within the sport of boxing. It is a critical component to ensure the participant has a positive learning experience. Boxing Victoria recommends that all coaches are accredited at the appropriate level and continue to develop themselves throughout their coaching participation.

Accreditation

The level 1 coaches course is part of Boxing Australia’s accreditation pathway and caters for all competition boxing coaches from Club & Community to International Coaches in AIBA Open Boxing (AOB), World Series Boxing (WSB) and AIBA Professional Boxing (APB). The level 1 course sets the foundation for any coach or trainer wanting to develop their coaching carrier or add another dimension of knowledge for their clients 
The pathway includes levels Bronze, Silver, Gold. 

Boxing Australia Level Bronze

The Boxing Australia Level Bronze Coaching Course is accredited with the NCAS Scheme. The course is aimed at competition boxing coaches that coach at club and community level. The course requires the applicants to complete the ASC Online General Coaching Principles course as well as a boxing practical course by an approved BAL Presenter who will deliver a standardised course curriculum that has been approved by the NCAS and Boxing Australia.

Who is it available to:

Registered coaches of Boxing Victoria. Annual Registration fee is currently $150  (To register use the Join Now link on the home page)

PREREQUISITES:

 

  1. The following online Sport Integrity courses must be completed:

 

  • Anti-Doping Annual update Course (If you have completed the Anti-Doping Fundamentals Course then you only are required to do the Annual Update)
  • Child Safeguarding in Sport Induction
  • Competition Manipulation & Sports Betting

2. Evidence of your Working With Children Check WWCC

3. Evidence of Boxing Victoria Registration - coach (if you can't find your club then select Boxing Victoria coach. If you can’t locate your club/gym on the directory when prompted select “BVI coach”.
